The LNG terminal, being built at Klaipeda state seaport on the Baltic Sea by Lithuania, will allow Vilnius to confidently negotiate with Gazprom on a reduction of the Russian gas price, Dalia Grybauskaite, the President of Lithuania, stated.
Gazprom reportedly proposes to reduce the price of gas to Lithuania by 20%, but Vilnius will have to withdraw its claim to the concern from the Stockholm arbitration.
The officials do not comment upon this information.
"The comments will be possible when the talks end" – D. Grybauskaite stated.
