Glavgosexpertiza has approved the project of a gas pipeline Kerch-Simferopol-Sevastopol

​Chernomorneftegas has been issued a positive conclusion of Glavgosexpertiza on the project of construction of the Kerch-Simferopol-Sevastopol gas pipeline.

This gas pipeline will become  a part of the route gas pipeline Kuban-Crimea which will connect the continental part of Russia with the peninsula. The capacity of the gas pipeline will be about 4 bln cubic m a year, 2.2 bln cubic m of which will be shipped from the Krasnodar region, another 2 bln – from the deposits in the peninsula.

The gas pipeline is needed for gas supply to the thermal power plants in Simferopol and Sevastopol which are under construction. Their total capacity will be 940 mW. They are constructed ahead the schedule. It is planned to put the gas pipeline into operation until the end of 2017 or closer to the mid 2018.
