Norilsk Nickel has received a new furnace from Uralmash

The new equipment was produced at Uralmash plant by the order of the experimental design office “Micron” (Norilsk Nickel is the final receiver). The customer decided not to purchase a furnace on the territory of Finland and chose Uralmash plant. The new furnace’s weight is 287 tons. It consists of a bottom and 13 belts of 16 m diameter each.
In the process of production the designers of Uralmash plant worked out a special stand which allowed to turn the entire construction, control the flexion of its sections and meet the necessary dimensions.
