Russia and Iran have united on the basis of oil

Russia answers Western sanctions by strengthening of its trade cooperation.

Russia and Iran have signed a Memorandum of understanding presupposing a sharp activation of their economic cooperation. The Ministry of Energy of Russia announced yesterday thus confirming the information of Kommersant that Moscow and Teheran are preparing a multibillion deal in the framework of which Russia will purchase Iranian oil and in exchange will ship cars, equipment, metals, grain and services to Iran. According to sources of Kommersant at the Government of Russia, the USA tried to break up these agreements. Meanwhile by softening of the international sanctions in respect of Teheran, not only Russian companies show their activity in the Iranian market but also their competitors from other countries, including the Western countries.
