Contract of Gazprom and CNPC comes in force

The contract of Gazprom and Chinese CNPC on supply of gas to China via Eastern route came into force on May 13th, 2015. The companies and the public authorities exchanged letters to remove all pre-conditions of the contract. Now the parties count four-year term of the gas supplies from May 13th.

The contract itself was signed on May 21st, 2014; on October 13, 2014, an intergovernmental agreement between Russia and China was signed, as well as the technical agreement (annex to the sales contract) between the companies.
