Iran is invited to use the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline

Azerbaijan has invited Iran to use the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline and the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline for the export of oil and gas to European markets.

This proposal was made by the Azerbaijani Minister of Economy and Industry, Shahin Mustafayev at a meeting with the Iranian Minister of Petroleum. Bijan Namidar. The Minister also made a proposal to establish a joint plant for the production of modern equipment, used in the extraction of oil and gas. At the meeting, an agreement on the construction of the plant and the establishment of a working group for the future connection of Iran to the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline was reached.
