Russian Government approves draft agreement on cooperation with Pakistan during construction of North-South gas pipeline

The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree, according to which the draft agreement between the Governments of Russia and Pakistan on cooperation in the construction of the North - South gas pipeline is approved for the signing, said the official website of the Russian Government reports on Thursday.

"The signed decree approved the draft agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on cooperation in the North - South gas pipeline project. The purpose of the agreement is to create favorable conditions for the construction of the North - South gas pipeline in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan from Karachi to Lahore," – the message says.
