Shale oil found in Tatarstan

Tatarstan has shale oil reserves, the President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov said.

“There are good prerequisites for shale oil extraction on the territory of Tatarstan”, he reported. Tatneft started the scientific research aimed at the development of the technologies for the extraction of the new type of raw hydrocarbons.
