Sanctions to make Gazprom’s projects more expensive
Sanctions that restrict the purchase of equipment, technologies and services for geological exploration and oil production on the shelf, in the Arctic and at shale deposits, as well as the US sanctions, imposed on gas fields, have delayed some projects of Gazprom, their expenditures could rise, the company's prospectus for Eurobonds informs.
Gazprom may not be able to quickly replace some of the equipment or may not cope with this task at all, the document says. The very possibility of producing it in Russia was called into question - due to lack of technologies, infrastructure or because of its uniqueness. If Gazprom can’t purchase the necessary equipment and technologies without significant delays or can’t buy at all, the plans for the development of relevant projects may be substantially revised, the concern reports.
