Rostech, Tatneft and VTB Capital can build oil refinery in Uganda

Rostech has agreed with the Government of Uganda about the realization of several energy projects in the state. To achieve the purpose, the state corporation will found a consortium with Tatneft and VTB Capital. Their first possible project can be construction of an oil refinery with annual capacity of 3 million tons.

Rostech and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Uganda have closed the memorandum for mutual understanding under which the Russian state corporation will promote attraction of investment to minerals exploration and development in Uganda. The African projects of Rostech will be realized by its subsidiary RT-Global Resources that will operate in a consortium with Tatneft and VTB Capital.
