Prime Minister of Estonia calls on the European Commission to check legality of Nord Stream-2 project

The European Commission must check the project of Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline for compliance with the EU legislation. This statement was made by Prime Minister of Estonia Taavi Rõivas on Thursday after talks of heads of Governments of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and the Ukraine in Riga.
 
"We have strong suspicions that this project doesn’t meet the Third Energy Package of the EU. I call on the European Commission to very seriously look into this matter," - he said.
