Rosneft may construct another LNG plant, but only for shelf gas

Rosneft may consider the construction of another LNG plant, if it finds enough gas reserves on shelf, the company’s head, Igor Sechin stated to journalists.

“If we have enough gas reserves on shelf, which will allow us to talk about LNG, we will do this, but only for shelf gas,” – Sechin said, answering for question about possibility of another plant's construction.

Currently, Rosneft and ExxonMobil implement a project of a LNG plant's construction in Sakhalin. Its construction is planned to be started in the first half of 2015. The launch may take place in 2018. The total assessment of the project investments, including infrastructure, makes up $15 billion.
