Russia and China to agree on gas price before May

Russia and China map out to reach an agreement on the Russian gas price, the press-secretary of the president of Russia, D.Peskov said.

“The parties expect to complete the negotiations process by May,” Peskov said.

The matter of price is the key objection, which prevents the agreements on natural gas supply from Russia to China and contracts conclusion. The base price of delivery is still unagreed. The price formula has been confirmed within the framework of the principal terms of supply, signed by Gazprom and CNPC in early September 2013.
