Lukoil invests over 350 bln roubles into development of Northern Caspian

​Lukoil invests over 350 bln roubles into the development of the deposits of the Northern Caspian, CEO of Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft, N. Lyahko, said. The company has worked out a system of complex development of the regional deposits that presupposes the construction of over 25 platforms with the total weight of about 100 thousand tons of metal constructions and equipment.

He said that Lukoil has already discovered 14 perspective structures in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea with hydrocarbons resources of 810 mln tons of reference fuel. The company has studied the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea: it has drilled 21 wells with the total volume of 52 thousand m. In 2014 the investment into geological exploration made up about 4 bln roubles. In 2015-2017 it is planned to spend over 22 bln roubles.

In 2015 Lukoil plans to invest about 70 bln roubles into the development of V. Filanovsky deposit in the Northern Caspian, N. Lyashko said. The investment into the first and second stages will amount to over 115 bln roubles. The construction of the objects of the deposit in the framework of the second stage is held at the ship building plants in the Astrakhan region.
