Turkmenistan plans to increase oil extraction

​In 2015 Turkmenistan plans to increase oil extraction by 2.9% against 2014 to 11.11 mln tons.

Currently the state concern “Turkmennebit” operates about 30 deposits comprising over 600 oil, oil and gas and gas layers at various stages of development.

Turkmennebit holds large-scale geological exploration at the “Northern Goturdepe” deposit at the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea. The resources of the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea are assessed at 12 bln tons of oil and 6.5 trln cubic m of gas and a number of contract territories located at medium and deep water has been put up for an international tender.
