Chelyabinsk pipe rolling plant signed contact with Nord Stream 2 AG for the supply of about 600 thousand tons of pipes for construction of Nord Stream-2

​Chelyabinsk pipe rolling plant has signed a contract with Nord Stream 2 which is the operator of the construction of Nord Stream 2 for the supply of LDP.

The contract was signed on April 7th 2016 by A. Grubman (Chelyabinsk pipe rolling plant) and M. Warnig (Nord Stream 2).

In the framework of the contract Chelyabinsk pipe rolling plant will ship 2,596 thousand tons of pipes with the diameter of 1,153 mm with the wall thickness of 30.9 and 34.6 mm with inner and outer anticorrosion coating.

The entire products will be produced at the Vysota 239 shop of the Chelyabinsk pipe rolling plant.

The period of supply is September 2016-June 2018.

Mr. Grubman said after the signing of the contract that the plant would start to produce pipes for Nord Stream 2 in Q3 2016.
