Novatek asks to reduce tariff of gas transportation by 20%

Novatek offers to reduce Gazprom’s tariffs for transportation of gas by 20% in 2016; the company recently sent this proposal to the Ministries, two persons, close to the addressees, reported. The tariffs for the gas transportation through trunk pipelines are approved by the FAS from 2016, as a rule, they are indexed on July 1. Novatek has already offered to reduce the cost of the transportation in the past - however, not so much: by 5-10%, says one of the interlocutors. Last year, a proposal to reduce the tariffs was made by several independent gas producers, they wrote a joint letter.
