Oil spill at one of Rosneft’s deposits

​There was the oil spill at the Mongi deposit that belongs to an affiliate of Rosneft – RN-Sakhalinmorneftegas.

The reason of the accident at the deposit located in the Noglick district of the Sakhalin region was the breakthrough of the intrafield oil pipeline. The oil flows to the Nelbuta river and the Nyisky Bay of the Sea of Okhotsk, is reported. The oil spill takes place in the area of the Daginsky thermal sources that are a natural landmark.

RN-Sakhalinmorneftegas said that the volume of oil spill is about 5 thousand tons. The company is collecting oil. Previously Pronedra reported that Rosneft hadn’t eliminated the oil spill at the Vostochnoe Ekhabi deposit.
