Last week the representative of the Polish Government P. Naimsky claimed that Warsaw was not going to prolong the long-term contract with Gazprom expiring in 2022. Concerning the fact that currently Russian gas covers over half of Poland’s gas consumption, the reaction was quite predictable. The Vice Chairman of the Board of Gazprom A. Medvedev wished to Poland not to end up with nothing if they hope for ‘benevolent’ American liquefied gas.
