The Tobolsk oil project in future might be compared to the Uvat project by the level of hydrocarbons production, the acting Governor of the Tyumen region, V. Yakushev said.
According to him, now the territory develops at a good speed. V. Yakushev said the Uvat project at the start of its realization didn’t show high results: the production wasn’t growing, about 700-800 thousand tons of oil a year only were produced. However ,today about 10 mln tons are produced. Further growth is planned. The maximum production level is to reach 17 mln tons a year. To compare – Bashkortostan – an old oil production region – annually extracts 14 mln tons.
