To break gas transit to EU it is necessary to explode the Ukraine’s gas transport system at 29 places- expert

Our gas transportation system has passed and keeps being tested for the second year straight. Though in May and June 2014 there were sabotage operations at the Urengoi-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline, it was followed by the breakup of gas supplies to the EU, President of the Center of Global Studies “Strategy 21”, M. Gonchar, said.

 “To fully destroy gas supply to the EU from the Ukraine, it is necessary to make a simultaneous explosion of the gas transportation system at 29 places. Russia set a goal to damage the Ukrainian transit by means of high political and military risks. Partially it managed to do that by means of initiation of economically unreasonable by-passing projects and corruption of politicians and chairmen in various countries of Europe who support such ideas. But simultaneously it strikes itself as Europe treats the Russian and Ukrainian risks as risks of eastern supplies in general”, the expert thinks.
