Capacity of Turkish Stream to decrease twice

Gazprom has again changed the development strategy of gas exports to Europe bypassing the Ukraine. Desperated to find a common language with Turkey, the monopoly has frozen investment in the Southern Corridor project, via which gas was to be supplied to the future Turkish Stream gas pipeline. As a result, the capacity of the latter, at least in the foreseeable future, will be reduced by half - to 32 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The alternative will be the recently announced expansion of the Nord Stream pipeline in the Baltic Sea. The European partners of Gazprom are confused by the change of its plans, and they don’t understand what to expect.
