NTMK improves efficiency of slabs production equipment

The Nizhny Tagil metallurgical plant (Evraz NTMK) has turned to the use of a machine for gas-cutting of slabs of domestic production. The project was realized in the framework of the import replacement program.
“The gas-cutting machine is meant for metal cutting with the thickness of up to 500 mm. The use of the new equipment allowed to increase the efficiency at the production of slabs by 30% having reduced the length of the process from 40 minutes to 25”, is reported.
The equipment is installed at the united auxiliaries shop of NTMK. Its development was held with the application of modern technical decisions.
