Independent oil and gas producers consider project of their own gas pipeline

Independent oil and gas producers have considered a project to build their own pipeline system with access to the Sea of ​​Okhotsk, general director of Rostneftegaz Ivan Menshikov announced at the East oil and gas forum today.
 
"We are talking about the project that has long been worked out, associated with the pipeline to Ayana (port in the Khabarovsk region) with the access to the Sea of ​​Okhotsk. A cluster of major companies on gas liquefaction and ethanol and urea production could be created there. For a while, the overall study is conducted, but obviously you need to have at least 1 trillion cubic meters of gas reserves to make the project viable. Today, in principle, we have about 800 billion cubic meters of the reserves. So the prospect of this exists, althouth it is very remote,"- Menshikov said.
