Rosneft to obtain access to gas pipeline on Sakhalin

The conflict of Rosneft and Gazprom around the Trans-Sakhalin gas pipeline has been be resolved peacefully. As the Kommersant has got to know, the monopoly agreed to allow Rosneft access to the pipe in principle - now the both sides are only waiting for the official announcement. An indirect confirmation of this is the postponement of consideration of the relevant claim of the oil company and the FAS’ proceedings on this issue to a month.

Yesterday, the Commercial Court of the Sakhalin region postponed consideration of the Rosneft’s claim to Sakhalin Energy (operator of the Sakhalin-2 project and the owner of the Trans-Sakhalin gas pipeline) for access to the gas pipeline, delayed the hearing to September 10th. The formal reason became the request of the Sakhalin Energy, whose representative argued that the lawsuit wasn’t accompanied by required documents and it prevented the defendant to prepare a reasoned stand. FAS, which in mid-July issued a warning to Sakhalin Energy about its violation of the legislation and demanded it
