Turkmenistan intends to control the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline

The Turkmen state-owned company Turkmengaz will head the international consortium for the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline, via which Turkmen gas will be transported to India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported after the meeting of the four countries’ Ministries in Ashgabat.

The pipeline’s length will be 1800 km. The projected cost is estimated at $10 billion. Also, the parties, interested in the project, said  that foreign companies of other countries
