The volume of potentially extractracable resources in Russia is assessed at 367-506 bln barrels, Rosneft’s head, I. Sechin, said.

This is significantly higher than the opportunities of not only the USA, but also Iraq, Iran and Saudi Arabia, he added.

According to Sechin, the potential resource base of hydrocarbons in Russia is the largest in the world. The volume of potentially extracted gas resources in Russia is assessed at 90-220 trln cubic m, that is by more than twice exceeds the resource potentials of the USA (40-62 trln cubic m), he said. Russia is able not only to save but significantly increase its stake in the energy markets of APR.
