Tyumen oil workers to launch 11 new fields

This was reported by director of the regional Department of Environment and Subsoil Use Janna Zlobina. "42 deposits of hydrocarbons have been discovered in region. The production is carried out only at 12 of them. Recoverable oil reserves made up about 400-450 million tons. The cumulative production from the beginning of the development on January 1, 2015 is more than 54 million tons. We can confidently say that the resource base allows us to develop the oil production in the long term,"- she said. In 2014, according to the Department of Environment and Subsoil Use, 10.7 million tons of oil were produced in the south of the Tyumen region.

During the first six months of 2015, 5.8 million tons were produced. "We believe that the instability of the economic situation in the country won’t affect the decline in the oil production in Tyumen region," - said Janna Zlobina. The oil production in the south of the Tyumen region is conducted mainly by the efforts of Rosneft, on which over 80% of all the produced volumes fall. Already in 2016, one of the largest domestic subsoil users Surgutneftegaz plans to begin starting the development of the Yuzhno-Nyurymskoyo field. "Gazpromneft-Khantos also works in the region. For a while, they get about 500 thousand tons of oil within the Uvat project, but the government of the Tyumen region signed an agreement with this company to develop the Tobolsk group, which covers the Tobolsk and Vagaysky districts," - said Janna Zlobina.
