Investors to take the best – Rosneft and Gazprombank to leave problem shipyards to United Shipbuilding Corporation

Rosneft, Gazprombank and United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK) have coordinated the model of the consortium, which will get the majority of Far Eastern shipyards of the corporation. The most problemsome,the Amursky and Khabarovsky shipbuilding plants (ASZ and KhSZ) will continue to belong to OSK. The Ministry of Industry and Trade insisted on the transfer of unprofitable enterprises to the consortium, but as a result it was decided that their consolidation would become unnecessary “additional encumbrance”.

The configuration of the shipbuilding cluster in the Far East, control over which will be received by the consortium of Rosneft and Gazprombank, “has been finally coordinated”, some sources of the Kommersant in the industry told. According to them, “the plan of top-priority actions was approved” at the meeting at the Vice Prime Minister ,Dmitry Rogozin’s office on last Tuesday.
