Crimea intends to start developing oil fields

The development of new oil fields on the Kerch Peninsula in the Crimea will fully provide the peninsula with fuel, the general director of Chernomorneftegaz, Sergei Beim stated.

"There are already proven reserves on the Kerch Peninsula; which, of course, should be developed by joint efforts with the major national oil companies, it’s necessary to build a plant on the Kerch Peninsula, which will allow us to be independent of the mainland in petrol supply," - said Beim.
