Naftogaz has paid off over 20% of its debt to Gazprom

Naftogaz has paid off over 20% of its debt to Gazprom for gas supplies in August, that was $882 million, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of the Ukraine E. Stavitsky says. He claims that the debt to Gazprom has appeared due to purchase by Naftogaz of additional gas batches, as the Russian side insisted. These volumes help to perform gas transit to the European states in the peak periods.
