Transportation of jack-up drilling rig Neptun, which is provided for exploratory drilling, to the Caspian Sea has started in Astrakhan, the Ministry of Industry, Transport and Natural Resources of the Astrakhan region reports.
“The transportation of the jack-up drilling rig through the Volga-Caspian Sea shipping channel was started today. Sea operations are carried out by the company Crane Marine Contractor. The operation of the rig is planned in the Caspian Sea at the depth of 4.8-105 meters,” – the report says.
