In October, the Ukraine started to use gas from underground gas storages for its community facilities; in the future, in case of Gazprom’s “formal approach”, it intends to decrease the purchase of gas for into underground gas storages to volumes that are necessary for internal needs, the Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister, Yuri Boiko stated.
Earlier Gazprom stated that Kiev owed $882 million for August supplies of gas and didn’t rule out that it would switch the supplies over the prepayment system. On Monday Naftogas started to pay its debt to Gazprom.
