Gold miners of Kamchatka have sharply increased gold extraction

In 2015 the gold mining companies of Kamchatka extracted over 4 tons of gold, by ¼ more than in 2014.

Gold extraction made up almost 4.2 tons. The extraction of hard-rock gold (112.2%) and alluvial gold (116.2%) grew against 2014. Silver extraction also increased – almost 4 thousand tons, which makes up 118.5% against 2014.

The extraction growth is explained by the completion of construction of a gold mining plant in 2015 and a mining and processing plant at the Ametistovy gold ore deposit. In 2015 almost 500 thousand kg of gold and over 1,000 kg of silver were extracted there. The project capacity of the mining and processing plant is 500 thousand tons of ore a year, annual gold production – up to 4.3 tons. Gradually the enterprise will reach this capacity and that will allow to increase gold extraction in the region by almost twice. The total investment volume into the Ametistovoe deposit in 2015 made up 5.15 bln roubles.
