RN-Yuganskneftegas increased drilling volumes by 59% in 2015

​RN-Yuganskneftegas increased operational drilling volumes by 59% in 2015 against 2014. 1,026 wells were drilled, the number of drilling teams rose from 34 to 82.

The growth of drilling volumes was possible due to the purchase of new drilling units produced in Russia that allow to reduce the cycle of horizontal wells drilling at the deposits of RN-Yuganskneftegas. These drilling units are equipped with the power top drive which allows to drill wells with the depth of up to 5,000 m thus increasing the efficiency at the drilling of horizontal wells.

As a result of implementation of new technologies of horizontal wells drilling, in 2015 the company increased the commercial speed by 25% and reduced the period of construction of wells to 35 days. In 2015 the annual program of sidetracking was executed ahead the plan (in total 352 wells were drilled at the plan of 300) that provided the additional extraction at the volume of 43 thousand tons.
