Government to create a diamond cluster in Khabarovsk

Ministry for Development of Russian Far East has considered establishing areas of advanced development with specialization in processing of rough diamonds and sale of diamonds in the Far East and Yakutia, the Kommersant reports on Tuesday.

According to the edition, in March the company Nurba Diamonds submitted a concept to the Ministry of the Far East Development, which proposed to create two such areas in the region. It’s planned to create a rough diamond processing center in Yakutia and a center of final sorting and export of rough diamonds and polished diamonds in Khabarovsk.
