The Baltic Sea, through which the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline will pass, is the most reliable transit country, said head of the German company Wintershall Mario Meren. Wintershall is involved in the projects of Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2.
"The experience of Nord Stream-1 shows that the most reliable transit country is the Baltic Sea!" - said Meren. "Together, we take on a great responsibility, because it is economically feasible. Moreover, it is necessary for the energy industry. This project meets criticism in some countries. However, our principle is the delivery of gas directly and in the best way in terms of price. That is our task," - said Meren.
