Gazprom plans to invest up to $2.5 bln into the gas pumping system of Belarus

​Russia is the main oil and gas supplier to Belarus with the annual supplies of about 21.5 mln tons of oil and 20 bln cubic m of gas.

Gazprom plans to invest $2-2.5 bln until 2020 into the gas transportation system of Belarus.

Gazprom is the owner of the Belarus site of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline. Until 2020 Gazprom plans to invest $2-2.5 bln until 2020 into the development of the gas transportation system of Belarus, $1.1 bln into the growth of capacities of the underground gas storages.

The energy sphere is the strategic sphere of cooperation of Russia and Belarus.  Rosatom constructs the first nuclear power plant in Belarus with the capacity of 2,400 mW and the volume of capital investment of $10 bln. It is planned to put the first block of the nuclear power plant into operation in 2018, the second block and complete the construction in 2020.
