Drilling of a well at Satpaev block has started in Atyrau region in the Caspian

In the Atyrau region in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea the drilling of the first exploratory well at the Satpaev block has started. The perspective block is located 90 km off the coast. The forecast oil reserves of the block are assessed at 250 mln tons. Oil layers are located in the Jurassic layers at the depth of about 3 km. The project capacity of the first exploratory well is 3,100 m.
