Kazakhstan transfers to international accounting system of minerals.

Kazakhstan intends to move to an international accounting system of minerals, abandoning the currently existing reserves classification, based on the principles adopted in 1983 within the Soviet Union.

Vladimir Shkolnik the Minister of Energy of the republic announced this, noting the shortcomings of the old system. For example, using the old methods, the system focuses on the stocks, taking into account all hydrocarbon feedstock available in the depths, however, it does not consider the possibility of its extraction with the rate of return.
