Izhora pipe plant plans to reduce production in 2016

​The Izhora pipe plant (in the structure of division Severstal Russia Steel) plans to produce about 0.4 mln tons of pipes on the results of 2016, a bit less than in 2015. The reduction of the volumes is connected with the peculiarities of production, the CEO of the plant, D. Pokrovsky, said.

According to him, in 2017 the Izhora pipe plant plans to produce not less than 0.4 mln tons of steel pipes. In total from the start of operation the plant has produced 3.5 mln tons or 6 thousand km of LDP. The capacities of the plant allow to produce up to 0.65 mln tons of products a year.

The Izhora pipe plant was put into operation in 2006. It can produce pipes with the diameter of 610-1,420 mm with wall thickness of up to 40 mm and length of 18 m.
