LNG export from Sakhalin in H1 2016 rose by 21%

​LNG export from Sakhalin in H1 2016 rose by 21%, the press service of the Customs Authorities of Sakhalin reported.

LNG export from Sakhalin-2 in 2016 grew by 21.2% and made up almost 5.4 mln tons. Gas export value fell by 33.9% and made up more than $1.7 bln. It was due to the world tendency of prices of hydrocarbons, is reported.

LNG is shipped to APR, the main stake of supplies went to Japan, Korea and China.

The external turnover of the Sakhalin region in 2016 made up $2.863 bln. In 2016 trade operations were held with 99 countries, goods were exported to 55 countries, imported from 85 countries.
