Rosgeologiya and Gazprom Neft to found a number of JVs for development of technologies on scavenger hydrocarbons extraction

​ Rosgeologiya and Gazprom Neft to found a number of JVs for working over various projects, including on the development of scavenger oil reserves, the head of Rosgeologiya, R. Panov, said.

According to him, the synergy of 2 companies will be productive, including on the development of scavenger reserves, as foreign companies refused to participate in these projects because of the western sanctions.

Rosgeologiya and Gazprom Neft will found a few JVs for various projects which refer not only geological exploration.

However, R. Panov, didn’t release any other details.

In the framework of the SPIEF-2016 the companies signed an agreement on cooperation in the framework of which the development of Russian technologies for exploration and development of the continental shelf are planned.

Today 1.7 km sq km is contracted at the Russian Arctic shelf, e.g. 24.5% of the total territory.

122 licenses are issued for the water area of 12 seas.
