Russian National Energy Security Fund: fall in gas production in H1 not to influence results of the year

In 2016, the gas production in Russia may remain at the same level as last year, or even increase. This opinion was voiced by senior analyst of the National Energy Security Fund Igor Yushkov.

Let’s recall, yesterday the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Sector published data showing that the total gas production in Russia fell by 1.3% in the first six months of the current year to 307.565 billion cubic meters.

However, according to the expert, the decline in the production in the first six months won’t affect the results of the annual production. "It is possible that in the end over the year Russia will produce about the same as last year, or even a little more", - said Igor Yushkov.
