From the beginning of the year, pipe production in the Ukraine fell by almost a quarter

In January-July of 2013, Ukrainian pipe enterprises decreased ferrous metal pipe production by 21.3% as compared with the same period of 2012 to 1.006 million tons

As a source in the Government reported to the Interfax of the Ukraine, in July the pipe production made up 155.1 thousand tons, increased by 15.6% as compared with the previous month.

According to him, from the beginning of the current year, the pipe production at the Khartsyzsky pipe plant (a part of Metinvest) dramatically fell from 288.6 thousand tons in January-July of 2012 to 171.7 thousand tons in January-July of 2013. The pipe production also decreased at Interpipe-NTZ (from 252 thousand tons to 219.1 thousand tons) and Interpipe Nico Tube (from 255.7 thousand tons to 230.4 thousand tons).
