Turkey threatens to lose interest in Russian gas and atomic power
Turkey has threatened Russia with the escalation of the conflict due to the incidents with the Russian aircrafts and said that it might reconsider the issue of gas purchase from Russia, the President R. T. Erdogan said.
According to him, Russia is sensitive in this issue, but Turkey can buy gas in other places as well.
“We are the buyers number one (in fact Germany is the top-buyer) of gas from Russia. The loss of Turkey will be serious for Russia. If necessary Turkey can buy gas in various countries”, Erdogan said.
According to him, Turkey might reconsider the issue of the construction of the “Akkuyu” nuclear power plant, which is to be constructed by the Russian project.
“If Russians don’t construct Akkuyu, someone else will dot that”, Erdogan said.
The explanations of Russia concerning the air intrusion are not serious and not vague.
