The Ukraine reduced gas loading into its underground storages by twice in early October

The Ukraine reduced gas loading into it underground storages by more than twice, the Association of European operators of underground gas storages (GSE) reports.

If in September gas loading made up 35-40 bln cubic m a day, in early October it fell to 7-15 mln cubic m.

The shipment of gas from Europe to the Ukraine fell in October by 3 times.

The Minister of Energy of the Ukraine, V. Demchishin, said that soon $500 mln would be transferred to Gazprom for the supply of 2 bln cubic m.

A. Miller said that in case of the anomalously cold winter, 2 bln cubic m will not be enough even taking into account the reduction of consumption in the Ukraine.

Gas reserves at the underground storages of the Ukraine provide stable supplies of the Russian gas at necessary volumes to Europe: the growth of gas collection in the east is covered by gas use from the underground storage in the west.
