Ukraine to obtain $325 million from the consortium with ExxonMobil once the PSA is signed

The Ukraine will obtain the bonus at the amount of $325 million once it signs the PSA for hydrocarbon extraction at Skifskaya oil and gas area of the deep-water shelf of the Black Sea with the consortium headed by ExxonMobil, Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Eduard Stavitsky reported on Thursday.

The Ukrainian government is going to sign the PSA for Skifskaya oil and gas area by the end of this year.

“The bonus of $325 million is paid right after the signing within 10 days”, Stavitsky said at the press conference. He claimed, Ukraine obtained no bonuses from signing the PSA with Chevron the week before due to complicated extraction of shale gas at Olesskaya area in the West of Ukraine..
