​Moscow oil refinery has reduced emissions into the atmosphere by 4.5%

​The Moscow oil refinery has significantly reduced the number of sources of influence on the environment – by 4.5%.

Now it is stated in the project of norms of emissions limit. Rospotrebnadzor has issued a positive sanitary and epidemiological inspection report.

The new document takes into account not only the changes in the structure of sources of influence on the environment and the realized nature preserving measures but the planned works on the plant’s modernization, the head of the plant’s department for labor protection, industrial safety and environmental protection, Y. Erokhin, said.

A large-scale modernization program has been realized at the Moscow oil refinery since 2011. It is planned until 2020, its total value is 250 bln roubles. Within 5 years the Moscow oil refinery has already reduced the total volume of emissions into the atmosphere by 35%. The general influence on the environment is reduced by 50%.
