In 2015, production of polyethylene in the CIS states grew

In 2015, the polyethylene production in the CIS states amounted to 1.95 million tons, which is by 6% more than in 2014. Such data was announced by director of the analytics Department of INVENTRA Lola Ogrel during the conference “Polyethylene 2016”.

The consumption made up 2.37 million tons, 75% of which fell on Russia. As for the other CIS countries, excluding the Russian Federation, the Ukraine was the largest consumer (35%). They are followed by Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Belarus with shares less than 20% each.
